Details
The resource is designed to support people who want to create and deliver participatory arts and mental health projects in the most safe, supportive and nurturing way possible.
It presents the key elements of good practice in this area under the broad themes of trust, time, flexibility, community, equality, support structures (for artists and participants) and legacy.
The resource was written by Andrew Eaton-Lewis, the Mental Health Foundation’s Arts Programme Officer, who spent a year talking to artists and organisations across Scotland who have worked on participatory arts and mental health projects.
It was funded by the Baring Foundation and Creative Scotland.
