This new report looks at targeted participatory opportunities for people experiencing mental health problems to be involved in theatre/drama, based on the experiences of 15 different organisations or groups involved in this work.

  • Stepping Stone Theatre for Mental Health (Lincolnshire)
  • Theatre Royal Plymouth (Our Space)
  • Underground Lights Community Theatre (Coventry)
  • York St John University (Converge and Out of Character)

The report makes a series of recommendations including: more opportunities especially from mainstream theatres, more support from funders in this cash-starved sector, and support for creative practitioners doing this work.
