New grants to support fundraising for LGBTI activism in sub-Saharan Africa

Grants have been awarded to the LGBTI Donor Initiative, All Out and the Global Philanthropy Project.
International Development

We are pleased to have made three recent grants towards initiatives dedicated to increasing institutional and individual giving – part of programme of work to support civil society in southern Africa to address discrimination against LGBTI people and communities.

LGBTI Donor Initiative

This grant is to support the development and implementation of the UK based LGBTI donor community with and for existing and future donors, tailored to their passions and needs which supports equal rights and quality of lives for LGBTI people globally.

All Out

This grant is to support the delivery the Grassroots Giving programme, with a specific focus on facilitating fundraising campaigns in support of groups led by and servicing LBT communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

Global Philanthropy Project

This grant will support the production and distribution of the Global Resources Report research on LGBTI grantmaking in 2015/16. The Foundation has also become a member of the Global Philanthropy Project – a collaboration of trusts and foundations that support LGBTI grant-making, research and convening.
