There are currently four episodes and one to come:

  1. How museums are helping to change our understanding of mental health: this episode focuses on two specialist mental health museums, Glenside Hospital Museum in Bristol and the Mental Health Museum in Wakefield. Transcript – episode 1: PDFWord
  2. Participatory arts in psychiatric hospitals: this second episode features Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums (TWAM) and in particular its work with patients in St Nicholas’ Hospital in Newcastle. Transcript – episode 2: PDF / Word
  3. Museums and arts on referral: the third episode explores two city-based arts/heritage on referral schemes, in Salisbury with the Salisbury Museum and the Well-City Salisbury partnership, and in Bath with The Holburne’s long-running Pathways to Wellbeing programme.   4. Training new museum professionals and mental health: this episode features Dulwich Picture Gallery and explores its Together through Art project which trains young people with lived experience of mental health problems as creative facilitators for their schools’ programme.   5. Co-curation with people with lived experience of mental health problems. The fifth and final episode of this series features Glasgow Museums and focuses on their innovative approach to creating the ‘Art Extraordinary’ collection of Scottish ‘outsider art’. Transcript – episode 5: PDF / Word
