The Foundation’s trustees and staff are delighted to welcome three new trustees to the Baring Foundation Board.
They are:
Aaliya Seyal – Aaliya is currently Chief Executive of the Legal Services Agency in Glasgow and was previously at Citizens Advice Scotland. Aaliya has held several senior non-executive positions, including as a lay member of the Law Society of Scotland and a Scotland Committee member of the National Lottery Community Fund.
Hilary Hodgson – Hilary was formerly CEO of Classics for All, where she led the expansion of access to classical education across the UK for students of all backgrounds. She has held roles at the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and The Sutton Trust, and was Director of of the Ormiston Trust.
Nick Capaldi – Nick is a former Chief Executive of the Arts Council of Wales, where he played a pivotal role in supporting and promoting the arts across the country, overseeing funding programmes across the country. Nick holds several senior non-executive positions and is also a magistrate in the family court.
Aaliya, Hilary and Nick will take up their positions from our AGM in June.
These appointments follow an open recruitment process through which we received a high number of excellent applications. We are grateful to everyone who applied for these roles.
